Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She spent the majority of her youth listening to classical music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music, as well classic classical music. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense singing instruction. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. Following her move in America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of classical Latin American music at private occasions. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
