Rosalia
Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is the Spanish Flamenco/Pop artist. When she was a teenager she sang with traditional as well as popular music. However, her music interests have widened to encompass soul and hip-hop. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, however she still having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in the year 2018. Following the release of Los Angeles garnered her attention as well as a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on the Billboard charts of Latin Pop Albums and she won a Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release came on March 20, 2022 after a performance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish soloist to appear on the show on Saturday Night Live. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home an award for the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman in history to be awarded this award.
